For most Malaysians, the phrase "sports betting" instantly brings football to mind. EPL, Liga Super Malaysia, Champions League – no question, these are the crowd favourites. But the truth is, Malaysia's sporting landscape runs far deeper than just football. And Petron77 is the platform that truly understands that.
Picture yourself as a die-hard badminton fan who follows every one of Lee Zii Jia's matches on the BWF World Tour. Or someone who stays up through the night just to catch NBA Live at midnight. Or a young fan deeply invested in the local e-sports scene, cheering on their favourite team in DOTA 2 or Mobile Legends. At Petron77, there is a place for all of you.
Malaysia has a remarkable tradition in badminton. From the era of Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek to the modern generation of Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik, and women's doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah – Malaysia has always competed at the highest level on the world stage. That's precisely why badminton is the second most popular sport for betting on Petron77, right behind football.
We cover all the major BWF tournaments: Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup, Malaysia Open, All England, and BWF World Tour Finals. For every match, we offer a wide range of markets – not just the winner, but also first-set winner, total points, whether there'll be a third game, and much more. It all makes watching badminton that much more exciting when you have a bet riding on it.
Esports is one of the fastest-growing segments in global sports betting, and Malaysia is no exception. The local gaming community is incredibly active – from grassroots Mobile Legends leagues to professional teams competing on the international stage. Petron77 is among the first betting platforms in Malaysia to take esports seriously, offering deep markets and competitive odds.
We cover DOTA 2, CS2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends, Valorant and several other popular e-sports titles. Major tournaments such as The International DOTA 2, IEM Cologne CS2 and MPL Mobile Legends are all available at Petron77 with live betting during matches – meaning you can place bets based on what is happening in the game in real time.
There is a small but dedicated community in Malaysia that stays up through the night just to watch NBA Live. They know every player's stats, follow every playoff game and have strong opinions on who will win the NBA Championship this season. For this community, Petron77 offers a comprehensive range of NBA markets – moneyline, point spread, over/under, top points scorer, first triple-double and much more.
Deposit using the payment methods you already use in Malaysia – Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow or FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Log in to your Petron77 account from your phone before bed, place your bets on matches starting at midnight, then check the results the next morning. It is that simple.
One of the most valued features among sports bettors at Petron77 is comprehensive in-play betting across nearly every sport. You don't have to make all your decisions before an event starts — you can sit back, watch how the game unfolds, and place your bets based on what you actually see.
For example, in a badminton match, if a player is warming up strongly in the first set but you hadn't placed a bet before the match started, you can still jump in with an in-play bet on the second set at updated odds. In NBA basketball, if a team plays poorly in the first quarter but you know historically they tend to mount comebacks in the third — that's valuable insight you can act on with an in-play decision.
At Petron77, we also cover local Malaysian sports that rarely get betting coverage on other platforms. That includes Malaysia's field hockey team, which consistently competes at the world level, sepak takraw as a proud Southeast Asian sporting tradition, and Malaysian events at the SEA Games — all available here. It's another way to back our local athletes while making every match even more exciting to watch.
Every winning payout at Petron77 can be withdrawn to your e-wallet or bank account within 5 to 15 minutes. Fast, hassle-free, and seamless – just like the betting experience we've designed for every Malaysian player.
